Green Day’s American Idiots – April 9-11
This Broadway hit will come to Michigan’s Wharton Center in East Lansing in early April. The performance presents music from Green Day and an entertaining story that is relevant to life after 9/11. Carrie Underwood – The Blown Away Tour – April 13
Carrie Underwood will continue her tour at the Breslin Student Events Center at Michigan State University on April 13. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Book your tickets in advance because this is a hot tour suitable for fans of all ages.
Alicia Keys & Miguel in Concert – April 17
The soulful voice of Alicia Keys has charmed music lovers around the world. This is a concert guaranteed to please all members of the family, so load up the van and head to the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit to catch one of Hollywood’s hottest singers in action. She teams up with Miguel for a dynamite Michigan concert at 7:30 p.m. on April 17. Tickets are now on sale.

Keyshia Cole’s Woman to Woman Tour – April 11
Keyshia Cole enjoyed great success as a platinum songwriter and singer, and now she adds a dynamic two-woman show to her resume. Detroit’s Motor City Casino Hotel is scheduled into the tour lineup, and the performance will start at 8 p.m. on April 11. Paula Deen at the MotorCity Casino Hotel – April 25
Paula Deen has been touring the country sharing her culinary wisdom and humor, and now it is Michigan’s turn to host the kitchen queen. Catch Paula in the Sound Board at 8 p.m., and top the night off with a delicious meal and a few rounds at the slot machines.
Arts Academy Orchestra Free Tour Concerts – April 28
If you happen to be in Midland, Michigan or Grand Rapids, Michigan on April 28, make sure to stop in and enjoy a free musical concert from the Arts Academy Orchestra. The Midland concert will be an orchestra performance held at the Bullock Creek High School Auditorium. The Grand Rapids event will be a chorus and dance performance held at the Peter Martin Wege Theatre at 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Kalamazoo Indoor Flea and Farmer’s Market – April 2- 10

Boyne Mountain Chef’s Challenge – April 12-13

The Tastes of Michigan event will give you a taste of some of the best chefs in Michigan. The event is held at Boyne Mountain in Boyne Falls, Michigan. Hell’s Kitchen may never come to Michigan, but chefs and food lovers alike can enjoy their own competitions.
Cirque Mechanics – April 19-21
The Grand Rapids Symphony will bring flying aerialists and beautiful music together so families can enjoy the show at the DeVos Performance Hall in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The State of Michigan Earth Day Festival – April 18

Grand Haven Chilly Blues Festival – April 19-21
This unique festival combines live blues music with delicious chili. Enjoy the music with someone special and hold hands through the evening, or spend the day dancing with the kids and trying some of the best chili in the state. The event occurs in the downtown area of Grand Haven, Michigan every year.
VegFest – April 21
The Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi will bring vegetarians and vegans together to celebrate the earth, the power of natural foods, and the spectacular tastes of the vegetarian lifestyle. This event is suitable for the entire family and will allow participants to explore and celebrate the benefits of consuming a vegetarian diet. The event will also feature speakers from the local community as well as notable speakers standing up for vegetarian lifestyles.

Great Lakes Art Fair – April 12-14
The Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan will host the annual Great Lakes Art Fair to provide an indoor shopping experience for those who love art. Bring your art to showcase and make a few sales, or just stroll around and see what talented artisans from Michigan and surrounding states are bringing to life this year.
Kalamazoo Pinball Show – April 19-20
The Pinball Show will be held at the Kalamazoo County Expo Center and will offer pinball tournaments and exhibits. Admission is reasonable for children and adults, and there will be events to entertain all members of the family.
The American Cancer Society Rear Saver – April 6 and April 20
Save your rear from cellulite and excessive jiggle while helping to raise money to save the rears of others suffering from colorectal cancer. The event features a 5K and a 8K race through Hudson Hills Metropark in Dexter, Michigan on April 20. Another 5K and 8K race will be held on April 6 at belle Isle of Detroit, Michigan.
Gazelle Girl Half Marathon – April 13
This women-only marathon and 5K race will be held downtown in Grand Rapids. The race’s goal is to support women and encourage them to maintain healthy, active lifestyles so they can life long, enjoyable lives. The event is still open to registrations.
Life Time Indoor Triathlon – April 6 and April 13
Put your body to the test without risking sunburn or heat exhaustion. This triathlon is held inside in Shelby, Michigan on April 6 and in Troy, Michigan on April 13. Stationary bikes, pools, and other necessary equipment is provided. Just bring you’re a game.
