Blake's Big Apple Orchard - Armada, Michigan
Are you up for apples and a bit of a fright? This orchard offers pony rides and an animal farm for the children and a haunted barn for the big kids! They also offer hay rides as well as haunted hay rides throughout the Halloween season. A corn maze is also featured. Tours are offered of the orchard and they sell delicious fresh picked fruits, jams, and other treats.
Friske Orchards - Atwood Michigan
The Friske Orchard in Atwood grows over 20 varieties of apples and allows visitors to pick their own fruit. They also offer fresh baked pies, cider and other treats with fresh fruit grown on site. You can visit their on-site market and bakery or order select treats online. They host festivals and give tours of their property at select times every year.
Clam Lake Orchards - Bellaire
Family owned orchard growing 30 apple varieties. You can visit their market to purchase bags of fresh picked apples, or pick your own apples from their dwarf trees.
Country Mill Orchard - Charlotte
Pick your own apples (22 varieties) and snag a pumpkin while you're at it. Visit the winery to taste wine as well as cider and send the kids off for a hay ride followed by a visit to the petting zoo and corn maze. The farmer's market and on-site bakery offers a variety of fresh made treats and gift ideas and children can enjoy cider slush! For Halloween, enjoy a haunted hay ride, haunted cider mill, or a small haunted house for children. The Orchard Barn is always accepting reservations for receptions and other social events.
Long Family Orchard & Farm - Commerce Township
Pick your own apples or purchase them already bagged. This orchard also offers cider and hay rides are offered on weekends until the end of October.
Altonen Orchards - Elk Rapids, Michigan
This is a small family owned apple orchard growing 22 different apple varieties. They don't have as many activities as some of the larger farms, but if you live near Elk Rapids visit their two markets for fresh apples and pumpkins.
Apple Lane Orchard - Flint
This orchard allows you to pick your own apples, including some older varieties that may be harder to find. They also offer cider, pumpkins, squash, and deer apples.
Yost Country Lane Orchard & Cider Mill - Gladwin
This is a small authentic orchard that allows you to pick your own apples and enjoy a hay ride. They also sell a variety of baked goods and cider.
One of West Michigan's favorite orchards, Robinettes has an apple house, gift barn and even a winery for the adults and corn mazes and hayrides for the kid in all of us.
Klackles Orchard - Greenville, Michigan
From ziplines and a petting zoo, this unique orchard has it all. Not only do they have fresh donuts, cider and apples...but this could also be a day fun of fun and exploring for all ages.
Diehl's Orchard & Cider Mill - Holly
Visit this orchard on the weekend for hay rides, pony rides, and fresh picked apples. You cannot pick them yourself.
Apple Charlie's South Huron Orchards - New Boston
This is one of the great Michigan apple orchards for weekend adventures. They have a beautiful pond with pavilion serving hot dogs and kielbasa and live music is offered throughout the weekend. You can pick your own apples and pumpkins and enjoy fresh baked goodies from the on-site bakery. Kids can enjoy the animal farm while adults tour the cider mill and pick up gifts at the gift shop.
Christmas Cove Farm - Northport
Christmas Cove Farm is located close to Sleeping Bear Dunes National park and offers over 200 apple varieties, including some of the oldest and newest varieties available. They have a farm market that offers fresh picked apples as well as real cider made from hand picked apples.
Knaebe's Mmmunchy Krunchy Apple Farm & Cider Mill - Rogers City, Michigan
When you want the true Northern Michigan fall experience, this is the orchard you head out to. Besides offering delicious apples that you can hand select and bag yourself (you do not get to pick them from the trees), you can enjoy homemade pies, donuts and other fresh goodies made on site. The orchard offers tours and has a small play yard and animal farm for children to enjoy. On weekends you can even enjoy pony and wagon rides!
Blake's Orchard & Cider Mill - Romeo
Pick your own fruit and enjoy candy apples, cider, or make your own fudge. This larger scale orchard and cider mill offers train rides, hay rides, pony rides, and an animal farm. Special features include Pumpkin Land adventures, a corn stalk maze, bonfire, and special school tours and picnics for business meetings. They even have a haunted village for those who want to be frightened!
Lutz Orchard - Saline
Pick your own apples or even rent an apple tree! This orchard offers a lot of antique apple varieties and has some farm animals on site for children to enjoy.
