Things to Do in My Hometown
Submitted by Sara
My hometown is a wonderful place to spend time relaxing, shopping, and eating out. Even though it is a rapidly growing community, it has been able to hold on to its small town charm and atmosphere.
The town is within walking distance to six public parks and two walking trails, the Polly Ann and Paint Creek Trails.
You could also visit the Orion Art Center which also offers summer camp art classes for children.
Lake Orion recently added the Orion Veterans Memorial featuring the beautiful Peacoat Monument in honor of all of the nations soldiers. It is a small, beautifully landscaped park with seating downtown.
The town also features many restaurants including Applebees, Sagebrush Cantina, Poppyseed Deli & Coffee, Valentino's Ristorante Italiano, and the hometown favorite C.J.’s.
You can find many stores to shop at throughout town. Some of the small shops you can visit include Ye Olde Stuff & Antiques, Heritage Spinning and Weaving, Hamsa Yoga, Memories in Time Scrapbooking, and Ed’s Broadway Gift & Costume.
